The ENERGIA limão (lemon energy) infusion has been crafted as a natural alternative to coffee, combining flavour, energy, and natural benefits. It’s ideal for those seeking a low-caffeine energy boost, perfect to start the day or for a refreshing pick-me-up:

• Roasted mate leaf, a natural source of caffeine with less than half the amount found in an espresso, known for providing a gradual energy lift without spikes.
• Lemongrass, a herb that adds a refreshing and complementary flavour to the roasted mate leaf. Also celebrated for its digestive and soothing properties, helping to relieve stomach discomfort and promoting a sense of well-being. 
• Lemon peel, offering a zesty, invigorating note and contributing to a fresh, stimulating aroma.

Important note: While it contains reduced caffeine levels, this infusion should be avoided by children. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before consuming, as caffeine, even in smaller amounts, may have specific effects during pregnancy.

Preparation Methods

Standard:

• For a teapot (1 litre): Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of loose leaves.
• For a cup (240 ml): Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of loose leaves.
• Steep time: 4 to 6 minutes.

• Water temperature: 85 °C – Toasted yerba mate is sensitive to higher temperatures, which can scorch its compounds and produce a bitter taste. Lemongrass also retains its citrusy aroma best at this temperature.
• Steep time: 5–6 minutes – This duration is enough to extract the smooth energy of yerba mate and the citrus oils from the lemon without overwhelming the flavour.
• Proportion: 1–2 teaspoons per 240 ml or 1–2 tablespoons per 1 litre.
